Often clients come to me feeling anxious, lost and struggling to cope with certain aspects of their lives. Many have tried other therapies without success. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a fast-acting and effective tool to help you unlock your full potential, build your confidence and get your spark back. 

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy combines the use of talk therapy with hypnosis. It’s based on the latest neuroscience research and incorporates the very best elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives. 

One of the best things about Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is that we don’t talk about the past or what the problem is - we focus on your goals and what you want to achieve. 

What happens during hypnosis?

When we are in a state of hypnosis or 'trance', we are extremely relaxed, but our brain is in a state of focused attention. It's a very natural state to be in - in fact we go into trance many times a day (e.g. when we're driving, watching TV, exercising...).

 

 Hypnosis itself is effective in reducing anxiety. It is a form of deep relaxation, which allows you to be more receptive to suggestions that are designed to help shift negative thought patterns and allow you to find solutions to help you create your positive future. 

When you are in a state of hypnosis you are in control at all times. You cannot get stuck in hypnosis as you can bring yourself out of it at any time. Despite what is portrayed on television, I cannot make you cluck like a chicken or do anything unwillingly.  

It's important to remember that hypnotherapy, alongside any complimentary therapy, will only work if you want to change and are willing to put the effort in. There's few things in life that work just by you turning up and having something 'done' to you.  But if you are serious about changing your life for the better, hypnotherapy can be an effective tool to help you.
